A Prayer

​

Lord, grant me the serenity, the surpassing peace of mind,

through troubling times, I encounter of each and every kind.

 

Lord, remind me to recall all that you have done for me,

so, I may continue in joy and from discouragement set free.

 

Lord, strengthen me with encouragement to overcome adversity in your name.

To recall each victory precious and remember just how far we came.

 

Lord, help me not become so burdened that I forget to see,

The need of others, whether apparent or not may be.

 

Lord, teach me in tenderness, in the power of your name,

So, what you do and what I do, will always be the same.
