Put on the full armor of God to stand against what we are faced.

Stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around your waist.

 

With the breastplate of righteousness we have in Christ and never cease,

to fit your feet in readiness with the gospel of peace.

 

Take up then, strongly, the shield of faith, for when this is done,

you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

 

Take on the helmet of salvation given through sacrificial love,

wielding the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God above.
