Je Leites currently resides in North Carolina with her husband and son.

She earned her degree in freelance journalism in 1999.

Her first publication, “Loneliness in Place” appeared in the 1991 edition of

Our Worlds Most Treasured Poems.

Her next publication; “Dreams Don’t Die of Natural Causes” appeared in the winter 2000 edition of Verses magazine.

Her previous publication "The Heart of The Boy” Originally titled “A Past Christmas Present” debut in the 2013 edition of Chicken Soup for the Soul titled; "It's Christmas".

Her newest novel, “The Sinister Write” was published February 2024 by World Castle Publishing.
